Good Evening #mydarlings! It being an election year and all in the US of A, it's hard not to let m mind ramble and consider all of those who made it possible for some groups to vote.  Thinking about how far women have come in the last century, my mind rested on Ida B. Wells.

Ida B. Wells-Barnett was a fearless anti-lynching crusader, suffragist, women's rights advocate, journalist, and speaker. She stands as one of our nation's most uncompromising leaders and most ardent defenders of democracy.

#myhairislaid like..... I'm sorry #mydarlings, I couldn't resist. Today for my #BlackHistoryMonth tribute, we are celebrating the legendary countess of the coif Madame CJ Walker, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and activist.

Born Sarah Breedlove on a Delta, Louisiana plantation, this daughter of former slaves transformed herself from an uneducated farm laborer and laundress into one of the twentieth century’s most successful, self-made women entrepreneurs. [She] revolutionized the hair care and cosmetics industry for African American women early in the 20th century.
